Shark Swim School
Welcome to the Shark Swim School website and we hope you like it. Shark Swim School is based in Redruth, Cornwall and was founded in 1999. Shark Swim School is now run by two friends, Jo and Jenny who are both Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) qualified swimming teachers. They both believe that the importance of being able to swim proficiently cannot be underestimated, particularly here in Cornwall with the County almost surrounded completely by water.
Many of Shark Swim School pupils learnt to swim under the guidance of Jo and Jenny and many have continued their swimming successes by joining local Surf Life Saving Clubs and now help to provide Beach Rescue services around the County.
Shark Swim School follows the National Swim Plan and swimmers who attain the standards and levels required are eligble for certification and badges from the ASA. Please note that there is a small charge made for these. Jo and Jenny were both competitive swimmers in the past and even now they occasionally compete in the odd masters events. They are quite happy to pass onto competent swimmers lessons and tips that they have picked up from some of the best coaches in the Country, so if you want to improve your stroke please contact us for details.
